Hey there gin lovers!
Have you ever thought that gin originally was invented in the ‘’Dutch Lowlands’’ (Flanders included) before it became the gin as you know? In the Netherlands we call this spirit drink ‘’Jenever’’ and is quite popular among the locals. Genever is rising in popularity.

From cocktails to ice-cold shots, if you’re older than 18 then you should definitely try it once in your lifetime. The inventor Lucas Bols lived in the 16th century in Amsterdam. He’s one of the notable figures that has carved his name into the history books of alcoholics. The house of Bols has been turned into a hotspot in the city of Amsterdam. Here you can experience, taste and make your own drinks.

It is just a 15 minute bike ride from The FIZZ Little Manhattan and De Spartaan.
Hop on the tram or bus or be Dutch and take the bike, why? You will definitely enjoy some of those drinks while you’re there!
Came by car and had a few drops? Please don’t drink and drive! Use a Taxi instead.
Enjoy.

A ‘must-visit’ gem in Amsterdam: De Food Hallen. It’s located only a 10 minute tram ride from Little Manhattan and Spartaan. It’s pretty much hidden in the centre of the beautiful architecture of the Kinkerstraat, Ten Katestraat and Bilderdijkstraat. As fresh ‘Dutchies’ you simply need to visit this fantastic foodie-heaven.

Many stalls and bars with scrumptious looking food and ice cold beverages. From South-American to Japanese and beers from the United States back to Holland! It’s all there!

Just so you know: the Vietnamese stall “ViêtView” serves fresh, made to order ‘Nem Cuon’ with pork and shrimp.. You. Have. Got. To. Taste. That.
